Christmas Donation Request
Hi,
Hope you are good and enjoying the run up to Christmas. We are missing you and still loving it here.
In order to make more of a difference we hoped you would be able to help with our following requests. The post covers 3 areas of support needed many of which does not include much time, money or effort for you to help:
1) The IT centre (Donation, 2nd hand materials & tools)
2) The village school damage & development (re-roofing, book request & paint)
3) General donations (2nd hand donations such as radios, phones, toys)
1) The IT Centre
As you are aware - the reason why we are here is international development so to build an IT training centre in a village in
- Financial assistance – e.g. make a donation yourself, firm or organization. Or – maybe do a collection or fundraising event with this project as the benefactor.
- Donations – e.g. Used work boots, gloves, protective clothing tools (hammers, spades, pickaxes, trowels), furniture & computer donations (Pentinum 3 or above)
2) The Village School
We live in a small village. Together with other volunteers, Dave and I are working at fixing roof damage and developing the secondary school. This is the main school in the surrounding 4/5 villages. Currently there is a large hole in the roof and poor conditions of classrooms. See the attached photo. We would also like to establish a village library & improve the appearance of the school. Our requests:
- Financial assistance - Together the volunteers need to raise 1309.50 GBP to replace the roof. Dave and I need to raise 260 GBP for our part.
- Donations – e.g. Books (all types welcome. Suggestions – ask you library, old school, uni, friends, colleagues for donations), Bookshelves, Outdoor and indoor wall paint and brushes, Wall decoration (e.g. maps, pictures).
3) General donations requested:
Mobile Phones | Camera & film | Pen/pencils/crayons |
Radios | Watches | 2007 Calendars |
Used boots and trainers | Toys/sweets | Anticeptic wipes/plasters |
Sports equipment (cards, footballs, shirts, bats, balls) |
We would appreciate all donations – big or small. I assure you, any of your forgotten items in storage could make a real difference to people here.

What you are doing is so great. I worked with Richard and DIVOG in 2003 in Kpedze Todze. Don't give up on the fundraising and the IT center. Projects like yours need to happen for all of the people in the region, especailly the kids. Best of luck to you and tell Richard "Keneke" says, "Whats up Dawg?".
Thanks Adam.
We heard all about you on a visit to Kpedze. It was all very good I promise ! Your work was really appreciated there. We will keep going and have just started on the columns for the building and are aiming to have the roof on by end of March. Fancy a visit?
